A note on Polyvagal Theory and ongoing scientific developments

Polyvagal theory, originally developed by Stephen Porges, has significantly influenced contemporary understandings of autonomic regulation, trauma, and social engagement. As with any scientific framework, the theory continues to be examined, refined, and critically evaluated within the broader fields of neuroscience, psychology, and physiology.

Since the recording of the podcast, some of the concepts put forward by polyvagal theory are being debated. Ongoing academic dialogue is a normal and necessary component of scientific advancement.

Looking forward to connecting.
